The Caribou Luggage System latch is designed to allow the case to eject in the event of a hard crash so that your bike's rear subframe is protected. This field replaceable compression latch is the "fuse" that allows the case to eject. If you are planning technical off-road riding, carrying a spare compression latch is not a bad idea. This latch fits our Caribou Rear Top Case systems that have the external latch (not the QFS system). Fits 2014 and newer top case systems only.
